RFID Tags
Transponders that contains an antenna and a small microchip that uses radio waves to communicate their identity and other information to nearby readers. Passive RFID tags are powered by RF from the RFID reader so they do not require a battery.
RFID Readers
The reader is a device that has one or more antennas that emit radio waves and receive signals back from the RFID tag.
Cables
Coaxial cables provide the necessary connection between the RFID reader and the antennas.
RFID Antennas
RFID antennas are an extension of the RFID readers. They are responsible for transmitting and receiving radio frequency signals that interact with RFID tags.
RFID Software
RFID software is used to process data sent to and received from radio frequency identification (RFID) devices such as RFID readers, writers, and printers. There are many different types of RFID software used for creating applications to manage, track, trace, find, and inventory assets, processes, and people.
System Integration
Deploying the RFID solution and making sure that all the different RFID tags, RFID readers, and RFID software are working together and may need to be integrated into larger enterprise application systems.
